Yet a consistent background is what separates an amateur snapshot from a professional headshot or a sellable product photo, and many applications (IDs, passports, listings) actually require a specific plain background. This tool automates the whole thing: it detects and cuts out the subject with AI, then drops in the new background you choose — a solid colour or your own image — and gives you a downloadable PNG. The background-removal step uses the same AI as our Background Remover, so the image is sent securely over HTTPS to the remove.bg API for that part; the new background is then composited and the final image produced on your device, with nothing stored afterward.
